Hey all, I have a couple questions and hope I can get some help on it.
I want to upgrade my factory system in my 2014 ford fusion. All I plan on doing is putting an amp in and 4 door speakers in. I have looked at crutchfield but not sure what route to take. What type of amp should I look at? Brands? I don't want to go too expensive, but I would be comfortable with $300 total
All I really want is to get a better sound quality(lows, mids, highs) with some loudness.
Appreciate any help.

That's a super tight budget for what you are looking to do. That said, Rockford Fosgate Prime speakers and amps will work. You could also do entry level Cerwin Vega or Kenwood.

yea that is a very tight budget for all four speakers an an amp. my suggestion to you would be to spend that money on some better speakers first and then save a bit more and buy a decent amp. because what is going to happen with $300 is you will get some bottom of the line junk that probably wont sound much better and will be more of a waste of money.
now im not saying that you have to get some high end stuff but i would definitely spend the bulk of your money on nicer speakers, maybe $100 per set, and then spend about $250 on a decent amp to power them. and keep in mind that you will also need an amp wiring kit to install any amp and RCA cables and a line level adapter to integrate with your factory radio. all told you would do yourself a favor to spend about $450-500 and that will get you something that will actually be an upgrade over your factory system.
for budget speakers i tend to like polk audio because they arent that expensive and have great sound quality and durability, and pair them with a decent 300 or 400 watt amp and you'll have a nice sounding mid level quality system.
