Are the parking lights working correctly through the switch? I somehow managed to bend a pin at the BCM while working on a '14 Impala the other day and it took me a good hour to figure out what I did. Not saying that's the case here but it might be worth checking out.

Looks like connector X5, pin 24 Blue, at BCM is a neg trigger for the park lights relay. I'd probably diode isolate the BCM from the RS.
