Hey guys, i'm praying someone can help us. I have a 2012 toyota camry with the smart key.
We are trying to install the viper 5706v with the dball2 with the wiring harness TLTH1.
We have everything wired up as D2D, the alarm's lock/unlock function works, but the remote start doesnt work. we are not sure what the yellow wire is for, on the TLTH1 Toyota Harness (it connects to the dball2) could someone give us any idea whats wrong? the ignition isnt kicking when we try to remote start. so we think its a wiring problem for the dball?

BTW we are doing the install type 4 on the dball2 installation manual
http://www.xpresskit.com/DocumentDownload.aspx?documentid=9471&productid=553&firmwareid=7067
its a little interesting that the manual doesnt mention of the TLTH1 wiring harness, but i did see a older dball instructions, and it did mention of the TLTH1 harness.

If the instruction don't list the TLTH1 harness, get rid of it and wire according to the install instructions.
Just a thought.
When all else fails, Read the Instructions

I haven't installed that harness before, so I don't know about that part.
But, have you programmed the Viper unit for automatic transmission mode?

yeah with Howie (hey again haha) it sounds like the issue is it might be in manual trans mode, you either need to switch the transmission mode or check the following
Dball programming
Nuetral Safety is properly grounded
entire system is properly grounded (NOT to the dashboard)
you have a reliable 12v power, ive worked on camrys and sometimes your 12v wires down there don't cut it for current to the ignition and sometimes you have to find a better power source that provides more current for the car to start, don't rule out running a 10 AWG wire to the battery if this is the issue
and make sure you double check all your connections make sure theyre properly connected and to the correct wire of the correct function, don't just connect colors from diagrams, make sure you grab your trusty multimeter and test every wire for its function if you haven't already
and if all else fails, ive done this before, take everything out and start from square one and go slow, sometimes its as simple as something wasn't plugged in tight or programmed correctly or even mixed up some colors, and when youre staring at all those wires it can be a bit overwhelming sometimes :)

It's always something simple missed out. Pros test each wire then connect via SOLDER. We also have a routine, mental check list for each stage also on Toyotas, fusebox or BCM power supply, white or black thick wire is my source and as above a good ground, scrape the paint away usually an existing bolt in the kickpanel or steering column mounting bolts.
