I would like to install a 3 way switch in my boat to turn on and off a 12v pump from either the back or the front of the boat. Can anyone tell me the best way to do that and what switches or relays to use and also how to wire it. I would like to use the automotive type rocker switch if possible.  One of the switches will be in the engine compartment  so should be arc proof..

Thx Murray

It is doable. You will need two SPDT (on-on) switches.
Here is a drawing that I drew up for you.
