Hi. Ron new guy here.
I hope I am making this inquiry properly.
Sorry in advance, if i have done this wrong.
I am trying to install a backup camera and a new mirror that contains a video display.
I would like to find a wire under the dash in the BCM that produce +12v when reverse is on. That way I have on-off power to the display in the mirror when in reverse, and I don't have to leave the display on all the time.
At least that's what I think I want to do.
At the rear of the car, I intend on using power from the backup light circuit to power the camera on-off.
If anyone can point me at the correct wire(s) in the passenger footwell to use to power the mirror display, I would be so grateful.
I can see 3 connectors in the BCM. I think they are called C1, C2 and C3.
I have found some useful circuits there, but no can find backup light circuit.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hello icearrow6
Thanks for the information.
Could you please elaborate a little bit on what "Driver kick harness to rear" means?
Maybe I'm just showing how "green" I really am.
But if I can be very sure how to find and identify a particular piece, I am happy to get right into it.
Sorry to be a newbie pain in the neck.
Thanks again,
from Ron

DKP is the panel in front of the driver's door.
It's where your left foot sits normally.

Nice.
"Driver's kick panel" of course. What was I thinking?
I'm guessing, to the left of where my left foot goes.
So, the wire I seek is Light Green, behind the driver's kick panel, and is in the harness going to the rear of the car. (the backup light circuit wire)
Thanks icearrow6 and howie ll
That expression wasn't really too far into the "jargon" world, but I thought it was. I should have been able to figure that out but yesterday I think I was just too "thick" to get it.
Happy New Year all around!!!

More on my quest for finding the light green wire that delivers power to the backup light at the rear of the car:
I found it. But it was on the passenger side, in the harness behind the passenger kick panel - on and off with reverse.
Fantastic!
I am so pleased to find it right there. Now I have a very short run up the right side of kick panel around the right side of windshield and into the wiring harness for the rearview mirror.
There are 3 light green wires there ... and a 4th with a line along the wire (was a smaller gauge wire).
But only one was the "right" one.
This is a big step forward for me. I still have lots to do before this project is finished.
Thanks again to all those who got me going. This has been so helpful.
