Installed a 5103L & DB-ALL2 for a friend into a '15 Rogue Select on Monday and he called the next day to say that it wouldn't remote start. He brought it in and sure enough everything worked but remote start. Diagnosing yielded nothing of use. Re-checked all the connections I made, everything was solid. Tried triggering the activation input with no luck. I unplugged the 12-pin primary harness and plugged it back in, and viola it began remote starting again. I foolishly assumed it was a fluke and sent him on his way since it was working. Got the same call the following day. It worked that night and the next morning, but not the following evening.
I have him dropping by this Saturday and was wondering if any of you have run into this type of problem before. I'm at a loss for what could need to be causing such an anomaly (aside from the 5103 being defective). Any ideas on where to start?

tb-118 from directed explains this. A shutdown diagnostic check would confirm though. If a shutdown diagnostic reveals hood pin as the culprit, hardwiring PURPLE / white from the remote start to the PURPLE / white on the db-all will fix the issue.

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply beegbie. I just read that tech tip. I'll give it a shot and report back for anyone else with a similar issue.
