Hello Everyone,
I'm a novice and would like to install my car alarm and remote start myself because I like this type of stuff. I've not installed a car alarm since 2002 though so it's been a little bit.
I was doing research and trying to make sure I've a good handle on things before diving into cutting/splicing wires again.
My question is this I purchased a Viper 5606v with a iDataLink ADS-DL and have wired the alarm to this using the directions. However their are like 20 wires based on that Viper PDF that should be hook to the car in my opinion. Below is a list of all the wires from the Viper alarm that I think need to be wired to the car.
Auxiliary/Shutdown/Trigger Harness, 24 Pin Connector
  • 3 Trunk Release Output
  • 4 Dome Light Output
  • 9 Hood Pin Input
  • 15 Door Input
  • 16 Horn Honk Output
  • Pink Inginition Output
  • 18 Door Input
  • 20 Breake Shutdown Input
