This may be a dumb question but I'm a little nervious about it. I have 2 pair of Infinity Kappa 682.11cf 2 ohm speakers (100w RMS ea). I want to amplifiy them with my Soundstream RN4.1400D rated 4x175w @ 2ohm RMS. I know there are other options for amps but the RN4.1400D matches my sub amp (RN1.3000D) and I have both already.
The amps will be displayed in the trunk so I'd like them to look the same. I know your suppose to over power your speakers opposed to under powering them when you amplify them. Is this over powering them too much? And yes I like to listen to my music loud. I just want to see if someone will prove my gut feeling wrong.
I drink current, eat ohms, and bleed voltage

You can get away with it if you match the gains so as to not over drive the speakers. The tweeters will usually go up in smoke first if you over power and over drive them. If your really worried about it connect another set of tweeters in series with the current speakers and that will raise the ohms up to 4 ohms. Which in turn will make the high's higher and lower the amp output to what you need.
These would work: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_60701_Infinity-Kappa-10.11T.html
