I've always been pleased with Metra products and their support team.

Years ago when I was doing a lot of car audio I bought directly from Metra but then started getting parts from Aamp because I could keep a lower amount of inventory as I could order what I needed one day and see it the next (Aamp has a distribution center about 200 miles away but seeing how you are in Alaska, you will get different ship times).
One thing I do like about the Metra parts that I now get locally from a distributor is while they do not stock everything, myself and a few other retailers in the area use the speaker harness adaptors. Aamp does not offer any of them. It's been a while too,but I think Aamp no longer does antenna's and Metra still does.
As far as quality on the kits and harness adaptors, I feel good using either the ones from Aamp or Metra.
Both companies have things the other does not but it would not be a deal breaker to use either one these days. There are things I would prefer to get from Aamp as far as small parts but this might not be of a concern for you.

BestKits falls under the A.A.M.P. umbrella, they do have dash kits and wire harness options.
We use both lines. If you are looking for data type connection options with built in steering wheel control options I at this point think the Pac (AAMP) RP5 series devices work better than the Metra BX line.

For the all in one solutions I use the Maestro stuff over either pac or Metra. As for kits honestly some kits are better from one company over the other. Metra has a double din kit available for 00 style chevy trucks that AAMP doesn't even make but the newer lancer and civic kits from AAMP are far superior to the Metra kit imo just as a couple examples
