DEI THGM610C - no W2W?

The THGM610C's manual states:
"The THGM610 is a GM Plug & Play T-Harness for specific GM vehicles. It can be used in either standalone mode OR with a remote starter in D2D mode (ONLY). The cannot be used in W2W."
Is this accurate? I was doing to use this and a DBALL2 to interface an AdvancedKeys push-to-start system to my 08 GMC Sierra, but I would need W2W connections for the AK unit. However, I'm confused, because this guy seemed to do just that:

I thought maybe he was using the THGM610 instead of the THGM610C, but both appear to have the same warning in their manuals.

This is referring to the connections between the DBALL2 and Alarm/Remote Start OR Stand alone Remote Start. Not other devices that you may install.
