I am using the Viper 4706v as my 2 way remote. The Viper 4706v is connected to an XL202 which is connected to the DBall2 for communication and remote start using RSR.
If I was to hook the Viper 4706v to the DBall2 via the standard install (W2W) instead of D2D through XL202, would the Viper 4706v be controlling the remote start at that point or is that still being handled by DBall2 via RSR technology? I believe it is the RSR tech that is not working with my vehicle. Trying not to W2W everything since I overpaid for the DBall2, would like to use its D2D to simplify things if possible. Worse case, I know I can always wire the Viper 4706v directly and use the DBall2 just as the bypass. Thanks in advance

So after testing the polarity of all the wires I determined the hood switch was still sending ground when the hood was closed. Upon inspecting, the bottom of the switch would contact the chassis when pin pushed down. Remote start now working good with 2 way communication!
Wish there was some indicator the DBall2 would give that the hood is being sensed as open, it would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation!

For the dball2 and sienna smart key, no ignition wire needed. Only wires neeeded are 12v, ground, steering lock position, push to start switch, OBDII CAN High, OBDII CAN Low, Parking lights, BRX and BTX.
