First off I think that I am just over thinking this.
Intended Idea: I have a 1990 Honda Goldwing GL1500. It's a pretty big bike, and I want to add a few strips of red lights on both sides of the motorcycle. I'd also like to have a set of orange LED lights mounted next to the red LED lights.
Intended action: So I want the red LEDs to light up while cruising along then in the case I want to switch lanes I give the signal, so my front and rear signal lights for the direction I want to go turns on. I want the red LEDs on that side to go off and the orange LEDs to start flashing, then when I turn the signal off. I want the orange to turn off and the red to turn back on. I just can't figure this out.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Using two SPDT relays, one per side, wire as follows.
12V+ from left turn signal switch to #85.
Ground to #86.
12V+ from ignition to #30.
#87a to Red LED lights +.
#87 to Orange LED lights +.
Repeat for right side.
If the turn signal switch provides a ground instead of 12V+, connect 12V+ to #85, and the output of the turn signal switch to #86.
