Hello,
I have more of a question then a problem. I installed a viper 5806V with a dball2, I’m using the dball2 with the 5806V in D2D mode the dball2 is set for RSR so I didn’t have to tap into Many wires in the truck. Everything is up and working good, while it’s not causing problem it’s just driving me crazy that I can’t figure it out. When I remote start the truck, after it has started the doors lock even though they remained in the lock state the whole time. I went through the dball2 and option 9 is set to option 3 smart oem alarm control. I tried changing to option 1 disabled and still the doors locked after remote start. Checked setting 16 in menu 3 of the 5806 (safe lock) and found this to be disabled. Truck is ST model and doesn’t appear to have a factory alarm.
Also what is the best way to grab horn honk in this truck? When I look at vehicle wiring either here or somewhere else like commando or another site each one has different wire colors for horn in the same location of the column location. Then I read else where that if the truck has a evic cluster that you need to grab the horn wire some where other then the column. I’d appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this. Thanks in advance for any advise!
