Hi guys, I have a set of traffic lights (red - amber - green) 12v globes and was wondering if I could use relays to run them through a sequence say 5secs on red and 5secs on amber and the same for the green.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for any replies...

I believe you would need some external components..
You can use a pair of 555 timers...
You can use a 555 with a IC4017...
the relays do not know how to "reverse" the sequence on their own...
Ive seen relays used for the sequencial turn signals... but not in reverse...
...sorry... have to use some "logic" circuitry..
