How much is can bus in a 02 crv ? I recently sold my 04 trailblazer and took my cm2000 or whatever compustar remote start and idatalink alca - can i reuse it in the Honda ? Or does it have to be reprogrammed? Or is this car too "dumb" to use the module to control all the locks lights etc..

yes the idatalink alca can be reused in the honda and it will control the door locks and the immobilizer if you have it, if in canada you will have it, if your in the USA you might not have the immobilizer, if you dont have it i would skip the alca and just hardwire everything. i would recommend getting new wires for the alca, can be found on ebay. and it will have to be reflashed for the honda, so you would need a idatalink account and the usb program cable to do so.

thank you. i am in the us. its a japan built us model and it does have a antitheft sticker on the window , has the laser cut style key or whatever they are called. so id guess it does have an immobilizer?
i just was not sure how much can be controlled through can bus via the alca , if i have to hard wire each function i might not even bother to install. now im spoiled with these half dozen wire installs

you need to reflash the alca. the alca will only control door locks and the immobilizer
