does any one know if using the - dome light trigger as opposed to using individual - door triggers and diode isolating will cause an issue? specifically with maybe the factory alarm or something else?

It should not cause an issue with the factory alarm.
However, aftermarket alarms are a different story. If your dome light fades out, it could possibly cause false triggers. Some people may say to use a relay, but if you've heard the terrible relay chatter that causes you'd likely avoid it.
One other thing to check would be if there are lights on your door panels (usually at or near the bottom). These can often be used as a door trigger. Verify that they come on regardless which door is opened.
You'll likely need to run a wire into the door to use this, and it may just be easier to grab all four door triggers at the BCM.
If you don't have a notification which door is open, you could forego the diodes, although others may frown on this. If you do get a notification which door is open but don't use diodes, it'll tell you all doors are open whenever any door is opened.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
