This system is jinxed. The original install goes back 12 years, but I upgraded it to the 5305 about 2 years ago. Every now and then something just doesn't work right, or quits. The Aux-6 output quit working last summer. No biggie for now.
The R/S has always worked fine. The truck has sat for 3-1/2 months. Today when I activate R/S I get NINE Park Light flashes. It doesn't even try to R/S. I can't find anything in my Viper downloads (6 years worth) about Nine park light flashes. (9 flashes for a shut down is Low Voltage. But that's on the LED. I haven't checked the shutdown diagnostic, because it doesn't even try to R/S.) I've made it do it at least a dozen times. Always (9) Park Light Flashes. It started just fine and normally with the key. There's nothing wrong with the truck. It just sat under its cover for 3-1/2 months, with its onboard battery charger plugged in.
What does (9) Park light flashes mean? Thanks.

I didn't find anything for 9 flashes, but I'd do shutdown diagnostics.
Does your system have a toggle switch to turn off remote start? If so, check to make sure it's on.
Otherwise, 8 flashes on the LED is "wait-to-start" input timed out.

Ok, Thank You. It isn't raining today, I'll mess with it a little. I DO have a toggle switch to deactivate the R/S. I'll check that too. Thanks again.

9 Flashes is Valet Mode. 9 quick flashes when it goes IN to Valet, 9 Long flashes when it comes OUT. It won't R/S in Valet Mode, it gives the quick-9 to indicate that it is IN Valet Mode.
A: Nothing in my documentation for this series says anything about Valet Mode and the 9 flashes.
B: I don't recall putting the system into Valet Mode, although I know how to do it with the button. I normally don't arm the system when its in my yard, but I may have inadvertently put it in Valet while trying to deactivate Zone 2 so it wouldn't false alarm, but I could arm it to activate my GWA protections. I don't remember what I did 3 months ago, but attempting to pull shutdown diagnostics revealed the Valet deal. Thanks for the suggestion.
Live and learn. Another mystery solved. Thanks for reading.

That's good to know. I recently got a 5305v on Crutchfield, so I'll keep it in mind.
