Hi all, I have a 2008 ford f250 diesel with a viper 4806v that I installed however when I shut down the engine with the key fob the accessories stay on just as it would if you turn it off with the key until you open the door. I don't want to have to open my door to kill the accessories when I shut the engine down via remote fob. Did I wire something wrong or can I my xkloader3 to program it to not do this?

You might try pulsing the door trigger upon shutdown. Probably the easiest way to do this is to use the dome light output wire of the Viper. It will output a negative pulse anytime you unlock/disarm or when the ignition is powered off (by default). Just use a relay to interrupt the Viper's door trigger wire. Connect 85 to the dome light output wire and 86 to a fused constant 12 volt source. (A suppression diode is also recommended.) The vehicle side of the door trigger wire connects to terminal 30, alarm side connects to 87A. If you're using the positive (purple) input wire, connect 87 to a fused 12 volt source. If you're using the negative (green) input wire, connect 87 to ground.

I don't have my door trigger wires connected. I programmed the viper to see the door trigger as normally open. The truck doesn't have an alarm. Is there any other way that would work or should I just connect the door trigger and then wire it to the dome light output wire with a relay like you suggested.

Ah, I didn't realize it wasn't an alarm. In that case it would be even simpler. If your truck has a negative door trigger (you still need to locate a door trigger wire), simply connect the dome light output to it directly. If it's a positive wire, use a relay to convert it:

Door trigger/latch wiring on that vehicle rests at ground, goes to open circuit when door is opened. You'll need to wire the relay to isolate/open the trigger wire. Check all doors, they may also shutdown the retained accessory power circuit. Don't necessarily have to go to drivers door latch wiring.
