If the CM6200 works OK after getting the remotes you could just get this upgrade kit to add alarm features. You would need 2-Way remotes with decent range to get real time alerts.
Search on " FT-ALARMIT KIT ". It will work with your present CM6200 which might be easier than removing it and installing a complete new system.
If you want a whole new system that is somewhat similar to your present Compustar check out the CS7900-AS
Soldering is fun!

Excellent! Now, would the remotes that you linked earlier work with the alarm features or do I need to get something different?

I would use the 2-Way remotes to get the alerts. The 1-Way remotes would function OK and Lock/Arm & Unlock Disarm the system.

Yes, just wanted to make sure the same model remote that you referenced earlier would work for the alarm functions as well. Sounds like thats a 'yes'. Thanks so much again for the great help!!!

Sorry, but needed to revive my thread...
Could you or anyone tell me if this remote is compatible with the CM6200 (with the ALARMIT-KIT)? I do have the ANT-2WFMX so I should be good there. Just not positive on the CM6200.

Thanks!
