2008 ford expedition Eddie Bauer edition. Have had a couple a different alarms in this truck, mainly ones using the factory remotes. I have installed simple alarm kits in many of my other vehicles without issue. My wife had one installed on this truck for my Bday. Voxx 9 something. So I have a couple a questions as I removed this alarm for way too many false alarms.
Compustar CS 7900 Remote start is what I would like to install after reading many posts. I believe I will need to Blade-AL to make this work as well. Are these the only two things I will need for this install? Or are there more things I will have to purchase for this alarm top work?
Compustart CS7900
Idatalink Blade Al
Only option i want added would be the rear hatch.
Thanks.

The Compustar CS7900-AS is a nice system. Paired with a Blade AL, it will be a nice compact package. You will need to have the Blade AL flashed with the BLADE-AL(DL)-FM2 firmware to interface / support your vehicle. You would need the ADS USB harness to perform the firmware flash. Some On-Line sellers will preform this firmware flash for you if requested.
Do you have a power rear hatch?   Info below :
Trunk/Hatch Release           Brown (liftgate); Brown/Yellow (glass) (rear handle switch (-)       SJB in passenger kick, gray 26 pin plug (D), pins 7, 20
On models with power liftgate, the open/close is Gray/Yellow (-) at the power liftgate switch on the dash or in the driver kick, harness to the rear.
While you can do most of the CS7900-AS option programming via the remotes, to make changes in the two Special Option Groups you would need the OP-500 Programmer.
Soldering is fun!
