Hi all.
I have a manual push to start subaru brz 2013 model with the compustar 7000 installed. The car does not crank when trying the remote start.
The alarm was fitted before I purchased the vehicle so I'm not sure who or where it was installed. However, I can tell you how its installed.
It has the blade al installed into the brain.
The unit has a 1 way remote with 4 buttons, unsure which one as it looks old and model numbers are faded, the buttons are aligned in a square shape.
The compustar brain is able to control the locking, unlocking, siren, boot release, hazard lights park lights.
When putting the car into reservation mode, it does this without issues, I will exit the car and close the door and the car shuts down no problems.
I go to start the car with the remote start and it unlocks fine, disarms, it turns gauge on to yellows (red accessories, yellows just before cranking. Like pressing the stsrt button twice without having clutch pressed) then it does not crank. You can see it wait for about 10 sec, it will turn off and try again 2 more times, the re lock the car.
What I have tried:
- I have tried pressing the clutch myself while it's going through the sequence to see if it made a difference, this did not
- I have also tried having the oem car key with me in the car while going through remote start sequence, and also having it far enough away for the car to not be able to sense it.
The car brain does not give any errors and I have already set the tach.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas.
Sensors the car has installed:
- the standard impact sensor the kit comes with (FT-DAS)
Thanks!

Was this working before and then recently quit? Do you get any remote start error codes?
*Before digging in, have you checked with any local Compustar dealers to see if they will look at it? I know you said it was already installed when you got it, but if this was a professional job it may be worth checking first.
Is your system using the CN1 connector (high current) or the CN3 connector (low current)?   Test the yellow wire in the remote start harness for output during remote start. If you have output, the problem may lie with the starter kill relay.
You might also check the red/black (-) starter wire for negative output during remote start. If you don't have output on the yellow wire, but do on the red/black, you may be able to wire a relay as a workaround.

Thabks for the quick reply.
I have looked for compustar local dealers but I can't actually find anyone here who stocks or installs the products. I wanted to buy a 2 way key and found out it would cost me almost $500 Australian to have it shipped from the states.
I will try do gave a look tomorrow to check which harness was used, however from memory I think it was all canbus.... I'll need to double check

Ok I have just had a quick look under the dash again and it seems that it has the cn5 cn4 and cn3 harnesses installed, however I am unsure where all the wires go without pulling apart the dash to chase them.
It does NOT have the high voltage harness installed.
Image attached below for reference to the cn 7000 wiring diagram I found
