Hello all, I have a 1997 Suburban with a Excaliber AL-1630-EDPB alarm that I would like to add the ability to have it lock the doors whe put in drive. When I got the truck 10 yrs ago the alarm was in the truck and the power lock would not work from the vehicles power lock button. They would however work from the alarm when arming. I tried tracking down why the power lock button didnt work and never found anything. I would like to add the ability to have the door lock when truck is put in gear. Does anyone know if the alarm had the ability to do that or is there a way I can add it with relays.
Thanks you in advance,
Dave

I'm not a Excaliber user but I think the best you can do is have the Excaliber AL-1630 do a Door Lock with Ignition ON, Programming Feature #6.
The R/S system really doesn't have the ability to monitor the Auto Trans selector.
Here is the feature explanation:
This feature configures the system to automatically lock the vehicle’s doors every time that the ignition switch is turned on.
Here is a link to the Install Guide :

See Page 13 for more info.
Soldering is fun!
