Can anyone help me with a list of what wire does what on the back of a Stock Clarion radio from a 93 Subaru Impreza.  I've attached a pic of the back of the radio and the wires that I am talking about.  Thanks!

If you're replacing it with an aftermarket radio you really should use a wiring harness ( Metra 70-1780 or equivalent).  The colors of these wires follow the EIA standard.

This is the wiring info we have for the stereo in a '93 impreza but I don't know if it matches your vehicle's wiring or not.  That's where the harness comes in handy because the pinouts will always be the same regardless of the color of the factory wires.

From the audiovox cd i have i get this: LF+ BROWN / white, LF- GREEN/ Black, RF+ RED / Yellow, RF- WHITE/ Black, LR+ WHITE/ Red, LR- RED / Green, RR+ Blue/Green, RR- Red, Ground- Black, Illumination+ Green, and it says battery and accessory are at the ignition harness but i would plug in the harness to the car then unplug the right harness as you look at the deck from your pic. and test the 6 wires there. I would guess that ORANGE / red is 12v+ constant. I have noticed that some stock decks dont have a switched accessory wire at the factory harness. Hope that helps.

What?
