disarming factory security on 2000 chev t

I have a problem, i've done 2 remote starter installs on 2000 chev trucks, I've hooked up the factory disarm wire from the starter to the light green wire as listed in the database here, but on both trucks when ever i unlock with the remote start remotes it sets off the factory alarm, I positive i've got the right wire as I can see the negative pulse on the wire when ever I use either the factory remote or the remote starter remote. There is another light green wire at the same plug in the BCM, should I try that one instead? I'm stuck and need help from others who have done remote starts on these trucks. For some reason I always seem to remember the OEM disarm wire on those trucks as being lt. grn\blk(-). Which is the perfect reason why you should always test before tapping into a wire. To test for disarm: 1. Close all doors 2. Ground probe of DMM and probe suspect wire with other probe. The wire should read approx 12v. 3. Have someone put the ign key in the driver door and turn it to the "unlock" position. When this happens the voltage of the suspect wire should drop to 0v. 4. Keep testing until you find the correct wire. Hope this helps.

Try the LIGHT GREEN wire at the purple plug of the BCM. Make sure that the (-) pulse or current is strong enough to actually turn off the OEM alarm from the aftermarket system.Jeff

Thanks people, I never did find the right wire at the BCM, but did find it eventually in the drivers kick panel, and got it hooked up correctly. Just a Guy, Wiring up those Vehicals
