Four 10'' Subs

Hello all,

I am wondering if I would loose sound from my 2 10" subs at 4ohms each wired to 2 ohms, if i wired 2 more in and wire 2 X 2 in series and the 2 pair in parallel. I guess this would take me back to a 4 ohm load on the amp and would losee some boom. I am running a RF Amp pushing 377RMS and the subs are 10" Pioneer's. Any Ideas on how to get these to maintain a 2 ohm load or should I just break down for another amp? Dang what way to go.

The Pioneer subs are the new ones with the Carbinfiber cones ??TW-255-VC?? Single voice coil. But the way I am thinking is I will have a 4ohm load and not the 2ohm load for the full 377rms

Amp is a Rockford 351M Mono amp

Thank you very much for this info. Now will sound get better or will it get worst. If amp is stable at 2Ohm load with the 2 subs wont it cut out some of the Pound at a 4 ohm load. Sorry things I need to ask before doing this.

What model amp and sub do you have? If your amp puts out the same amount of power at either 2 or 4 ohms then it won’t matter which load it has on it, you will still get the same sound quality at either load. But if  have 2 subs running at 375 watts @ 2 ohms then each sub is getting 187.5 watts each. Now if you add a total of 4 subs then each sub would be getting about 94 watts each. Now that’s assuming that your amp puts out the same amount of power at both 2 and 4 ohms. To help us figure out how to optimize your setup we need the exact model #'s of both your subs and amp.
