Has anyone taken the stock AM/FM/Cassette/6 CD changer out of the 2002 Accord dash? I am curious if the unit is one piece. I want to put an in dash MP3 player somewhere. I added a Jensen 3510 MP3 unit to my 97 Camry three weeks ago and two weeks ago an F100 hit me from behind totalling the car, Replaced it with the Accord. I wold gladly give up the 6 CD changer for a single MP3 player but I want to keep the cassette player for Books on Tape.
I don't know if Honda has any external interface connector . The car is so new my wife let me pull the radio and look for myself. If anyone want the Fujitsu Ten manual for the stock 97 am/fm/cassette it's yours for the asking. I would like to know if anyone might know of a source of the service manual/schematic for the Accord stock radio.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

This may help you take out the indash. The unit is a one piece. These instructions are for a single CD/tape but the mounting spots are the same. http://carstereohelp.com/stereoremovalHondaAccord3.htm

Just FYI, I sold my 2K2 AM/FM Cassette/6-Disc In-Dash Changer unit for $500 on eBay.  Just in case you were wondering what you might get for it.2002 Honda Accord EX Radio - Last Post -- posted image.
