I've read from past posts that it is AM, but on websites that sell this alarm is says that its XHF FM. Does the new valet 554R come with the XHF antenna?

I have heard AM as well from most people, but I'm not sure. Is it maybe that the viper series has the extended antenna?

On the directed site with the feature comparison is says that it is it HF+

http://www.directed.com/security/valet/val_fc.asp

reading from this site http://www.drdetailshop.com/XHF.htm I think HF+ just means the receiver has been moved off board. XHF+ on the other hand has a SAW filter for eliminating interference problems. So can anyone clarify what reciever the Valet 554R uses.
