Hi, I have 2 mtx 12" thudner 6000's hooked up to a JL Audio 500/1. And i am having problems with the subs cutting in and out. Ive checked the amp and it never turns off and i have checked the output of the amp and it never loses power. I have also checked all the wires running to the speakers and amp and they are all fine. Any ideas why this is happening?

It may have something to do with the actual signal itself...Try checking the RCA connections not only on the amp, but also from the head unit as well, if the RCAs have touched something with a signal at one point, something could have been fried, or there could just be a solder point on the board that isn't making contact all of the time.

it could be that your tinsel leads have come unsoldered. that has happened to me before, the music would be bangin' and then all of a sudden just highs. pull your subs out and check  your tinsel leads, that may very well be the problem
what!?!?! you want some??
