there are a few different ways to do it.

by ear is a good way, you can also set it so you have full use of the volume dial (using an amp on all speakers).

You can use your ear with the subs you have, a test speaker and a test tone or a scope...so you can actually see the clipping.

Or just don't even bother with it.....just drive around with the loudest, most obnoxious bass in town, everyone will love that!
