Need to find out if there is a kit made... and what the color codes are... also if the factory amp needs to be bypassed.. thanks..

I have a 2000 Discovery and there isn't a kit made tof it an aftermarket head unit. I haven't found a list of the color codes for the wires, although from what I have seen going into the factory amp, there are many different colors. My local shop says they can install a headunit and adapt it to the factory amp, no problem. I think they are going to fabricate a bracket for the stereo to make it work.

Yes, it should be under the driver's seat if you have the harman/kardon system.

No I really don't know them. I only installed a amp and subs in mine so far. Their plugin is confusing as it's hard to tell which wires are going in and which ones are going out of the amp. I'm trying to find a good deal on one of those Haynes books that should tell me everything I need to know about our landrovers. I'll let you know when I find one.
