what do you guys thank about free air subs ,are they even worth using?and hows ther sq

They can be great if installed properly.  They produce a very low Q and can be great for general listening, especially clasical or acoustic music.  It is actually harder to install an infinite baffle (free air) system in a car than you might think, as it requires that you completely seal all posible air leaks between the rear parcel shelf (the most likely mounting location) and the inside of the car.  This can be next to impossible in most cases.  If not installed properly, free-air results in very poor sound since there will be LOTS of cancellation.  An enclosure is far easier to do.
