98 Mazda Protege Dash removal

I need some help ppl i got a Mazda Protege 98 And im tryin to remove the Plastic outsiding around the Stereo andand it seems to be stuck around the Ash Tray Area and Lighter outlet part and i dont wanna break the dash to get it off can anyone help me on how to get that plastic off so i can change my Receiver from that Cassette player to my DVD Dash player?

did you check along the left and right side of the actual radio, there should be plastic covers that kinda blend in with the radio face, you have to pop those off then remove the radio with a pair of ford removal keys.

You shouldn't have to remove the dash in that.  Becareful with the tabs though, I've had a few that have been stuck, and they break really easy.98 Mazda Protege Dash removal - Last Post -- posted image.
