Lets just get some educated opinions. how do you feel the '04 Infinity Reference line compaires to other speakers in its price range. CAN $99 - 199 (from 3 1/2 to 6 x 9) and if its really worth the investment to jump into the Kappa line if the speakers will not be amped.

from what i have heard i like the way the infinity's sound. i don't know if i would spend  the extra dinero to jump into the kappa line, and i'd be REAL hesitant with out an amp. personally i think they priced fairly competitive with comprable speakers, alpine or polk, just to name two. the one thing that can get on my nerves about the infinity speaks is that they tend to produce REAL high highs. sometimes i aint down with that. but i've been looking at some infinity speaks for my new ride. i like the swivel tweeter with them because it sort of gives you an option with out jumping into component speaks if you want to save money.

i don't really think those are in the same price range as the infinity reference as he asked, he wanted opinions about speakers in the similar price range.

obviously speakers such as the focal are going to be better than the infinity speaks. but if you're on a budget then do you really want to spend 400 on two speakers?

I love the reference components in my car........they give a good mid bass kick.  The kappa's have (in my opinion) the best tweeters in their line.

I have a set of reference 5.25" for my front speakers. Powered by the deck, sound great for the price.
As for the sub, go ahead and spend a few extra bucks and get the Kappa Perfect. It's not that much of a price difference, and you'll be glad that you did.
