how do you connect a loop isolator??

what are the 2 small wires for??

The two small wires are for grounding, but you should only ground them if the noise isn't cured.  Some amplifier designs may also need to see grounds at their inputs (some Alpine) in order to work, so you need to ground these wires if you get NO sound.
