How much would a decent aftermarket alternator cost. Would it really be necessary for a 2 amp system? Also, how hard is that to install, and what special tools/ equipment is needed?

depends on the 2 amps, what do you have?

electronics run off of smoke, when you let the smoke out they stop working

i've got a cheap lightning audio 250watt mono amp which im planning on upgrading, and I'm planning on putting in components with an amp, sorry no specifics yet, but I'm sure it won't be anything super expensive or extremely powerful
