I have an '04 Mustang Convertible with the Mach 1000 speaker system in it. I would like to add RCA jacks to it so i can run my ipod through the stereo. I'm familiar with basic hookup but this system is more complex than anything i've ever worked on. Any help on where & what to install to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check this out, It beats the crap out of doing all that work, and you can use it in different cars, even through your home system, if you so desire.  I have one and I can get about 30 ft range on fresh batteries, so ipod-tunecast tossed on dash or in console is easy as pie.
If it don't fit, Force it.
If it breaks, You needed a new one anyway!

yeah, i have the belkin (iTrip) version of the same thing. Its ok, but its subject to conditions outside the car and doesnt necessarily provide the best quality sound. Also, the volume is limited. WIth a direct connect solution I can get better sound quality and higher volume.

Check with Pac to see if their aux-box will work for this application.  Parts here.  I haven't done this, so be sure to get verification.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
