Has anyone had any problems with installing a deck in a 2001 town and country.  There is a white an purple wire that needs to be pluged into the factory deck in order for the factory amps to come on. I had to relocate the factory deck, power it up and keep this wire pluged in for it to work.  Does anyone know what this wire does?  Is there a way to do it with out relocating the factory deck?

piece of cake to make this work without factory radio. the data bus from the radio turns the amp on, now the thing it is the amp turn on goes to a relay on the firewall then to the factory amp, on the output side of the relay is a 12 volt signal, so all you have to do is wire the amp turn on from the new H/U to the output side of the relay. To find out what relay it is, unplug the factory radio then plug it in and listen to which relay clicks on and off. Piece of cake
