Ive got a 2004 Chevy Silverado coming in tomorrow for a remote start with keyless entry. This is a base model, without factory keyless. Will the GMDL series still work for the door locks? Or do I have to use the white, lt.blue wires? Also... if I cannot use the door lock interface, do I need to hook up a factory disarm? (Im guessing no, that the base models do not have factory alarm).. but you never know!!
If I can use the interface, then I will use a GMDL-BP (all in one), if not I will use a PLDATA.
Thanks in advance!!

Not sure what you mean by the white, lt.blue wires?

If you are using the GMDL-BP, then you would hook your remotes start/keyless entry wire  to

Blue wire on the GMDL to unlock

Green wire on the GMDL to lock

I would use the GMDL-BP, it will save you lots of time.

Base models of the Silverado can use Lt Blue , White wires at the BCM (-) for the door locks.  (as apposed to HAVING to use a interface module like the GMDL, 456G, ECT>>)  I guess I over complicated the question.  Just want to make sure that the door lock interface still works with the base model.  The base model 2003-2004's are similar to the 1999-2002 (except the door locks are negative, not postive)  I would rather use the GMDL-BP.

Does anyone know if you can use the doorlock interface module with the base model?

Well if anyone is interested, the door lock modules work on the base model pickups as well. Even thou the wires were there to hook to, I chose to use the interface module to save time, and make a cleaner install.
