the last thing i can think of is, you might not want to hear this. But, I have seen in many cases like yours...someone have a bad ground, or loose fuse, or something that causes sudden loss of ground or power, well over time, this will ruin the amp. If the new ground doesnt fix it. I would suggest pulling the amp out, and taking in to a shop and have it bench tested. So them you will know for sure. Hope that helps. Out

Hook a ground to the frame first to the switch, Then one end to the amp the other from a power source from the battery or fuse block.

so i could just run a 16gauge wire from the + of the battery to this little switch?the pain would be to half to turn it off each time but ill have to sacrifice it lol as my deck is manually turned off as well.i couldnt find the iginition wire to splice into the deck power.it has the steeringwheel remotes so there was a mess there.where else could i get a 12v power source?ive heard the blue wire from the cigarrett lighter.help help me car is torn apart lol
