I need a diagram on how to wire my stereo so that when you shut off the key, the stereo will still work until a door is opened.

I got a question about this diagram, if I wire it like this wil the stereo turn back on as soon as I close the door?

I think once the connection is broke it is broke until power is supplied back to the radio.

Exactly.  The relay on the left is configured as a latch.  It gets its coil power from its own output contact.  When the relay on the left drops out (because the relay on the right picked up), the relay on the left loses power to its coil.  The relay on the left cannot pick up until power is applied to the radio again via the accessory power circuit.

Maybe this is a really dumb question...but I'm going to try to use this to keep my satellite radio on in my 02 Trailblazer just like the factory radio stays on until the door opens.

What would I use for (-) door trigger?
