I'm trying to install a AVIC-N1 into a 96 Grand Cherokee. However, there is a dash overhang that the screen will hit if mounted in the current radio's location. Has anyone done this install keeping a stock look? I was thinking of switching the a/c controls and radio but there is quite a bit of wire splicing necessary.

Any pics or info would be greatly appreciated....

Matt

I've moved stuff around and it is a pain in the butt. Take a standard kit super glue a 1/2 inch extenstion to the kit. ( these usually come with kits that have a flush mount option on them). Stretch fabric over it.Glass it and add a layer to
strenghten it up. Texture paint it and you are done. It will clear the dash over hang and still look stock.
