someon just told me that i am mixic my fiberglass mix wrong. He said that i have to put in the resin first then the catalyst. He said if i do it wrong it might explode. What do yall guys think. Need expert opinion. Thanks

he sounds like a moron, if you mix fiberglass resin and mekp incorrectly it will either A. not ever harden or B. Gel immediately or C. just take forver to harden.
As long as you are putting in the correct amounts of resin and Mekp then you are safe from an explosion, whoever told you that doesn't know anything about FG apparently

if you mix it to the wrong proportion it will not work but i do not think it will explode. always mix to the manufacturers recomendation. hope this helps.

ok thanks for clearing it up. I just did not know if he is right. I hate to do it wrong and end up in the hospitall knowing that he was right. Thanks again and i have a great new year : dowmace, bluetruck, auex and the rest of the the12volt forum.

I mixed a crap load of hardener to a little bit of resin and it lit the plastic container on fire, , but that was after a few min in the gel phase.

thats true if you have a crap load of Mekp and not very much resin it can actually light whatever it's in on fire, I know I've melted the plastic lid that comes on quarts of resin with too much hardener before
