Everyone i talk to,tell me that to have remote start installed that i would have one remote for the factory installed alarm and one for the remote start. If i have a remote start/keyless entry why couldn't that remote arm/disarm the alarm as well as do remote start.I figure that the panic feature may be gone, but that's ok.

first off all what you want to do is add a remote start no alarm no keyless entry right well check this out there is add on remote start that can work by pressing the lock on your current remote three times to activate the remote start and your factory alarm will still be fine. dei and other make simple add on remote starts easy to install and on this car there is nothign special. fien out this it can be dont i do this off of keyless entry systems in denalis and stuff so do some home work or email me and i will tell you what you need model number etc.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

I was thinking of that. DEI makes the 551T and 551R,i believe one of those are a remote start only. Omega has the RS-3A that does the same thing.Any more you know of?
