Fiberglass Curing in Cold Temperatures

Ok I have done a few fiberglass projects and I started another one today. I just finished laying down a mold in my ford ranger (single cab) since I am gonna put 3 10's back there. The prob was that the temp out side was 38 degress haha, so do you think the fiberglass will cure by in the morning????Dan Tha Man

prob not. make sure not to make it to hot to compensate.. you will run the risk of cracking..dont be a pet monkey ..use your dmm

pro's right. I'd actually say ur probably gona have to try this project a few times to get it right. i know its tough, but try not to get too impatient. if you do you run the risk of wasting materiels, and time. i would wait for it to warm up some, or be prepared to have sticky resin in my car for a few days. happy glassing to you!!

I just thought of something I do, do on the occasion as its not cold here in FLA that often. When it is cooler I use a halogen light aimed at the f/g mold. It projects a very intence light that placed about 5-10 feet from the mold should keep it nice and warm. This allows me to mold in cooler weather. The downside to this is that if u place the light to close u can burn stuff up and it can be very impractical if u have to do it inside a vehicle. Anyway, just some thoughts that u might be able to formulate some ideas off of.
