I'm looking for a new sub since my stereo was ripped off a few weeks ago.  I am looking at the Adire Bramha and the RE SX.  I don't know if I want a 10" or 12" yet, but I do know I am looking for SQ over SPL for sure.  I'm planning on getting an Alpine MRD-M1005 mono amp, which is spec'd at 700x1 at 2 ohms.  Any recommendations?  I'm also looking for a dealer for both, I'm near San Francisco if that helps.  Thanks!

If your going for 1 Brahma then the alpine is not a good choice because the Brahma only comes in dual 2 ohm voice coil....so either 1 ohm or 4 ohm, , try to find an amp that puts out in the 4 ohm range.

The Alpine does 4-ohm, it's rated at 500w.  Adire's website says the Bramha's don't need a ton of power to sound great, so I figured 500-700 would be sufficient.  I want sound quality first and don't care too much about SPL.  I'm leaning towards the Bramha, but I'd like to hear about the RE's also.

Go for it, I got 200 on 2 15" eclipses.  If it doesnt need the power dont over work them.  Easier you are on it, the longer it will last.  And speakers can last decades if you treat them right.
