Hey I Was just wondering if anybody knew a spot where i could run a 4 gauge amp kit through the fire wall of a 1994 eagle talon TSI. I am having troubles finding a spot. should i just drill a hole? and if so where is a good spot. any help would be appreciated thanks.

look for a rubber gourment somewhere there should be atleast one somewhere. If you cant find any drill a whole but be carefull where you drill make sure that there is nothing in the way. Try using a smaller size drill then if it does clear use a bigger drill bit. cover with a sealent

Ther should be a rubber gourment in the firewall kind of high very hard to see you should be able to get a 4 guage wire in there

just search around for one if not be carfule ensure you do not drill in to anything and just drill a hole

Your throttle cable should be run through the fire wall near your steering wheel (probably underneath) Look for a black sheathed wire with a gromet on it. Pull the Gromet out of the firewall and if its big enough cut a hole in it for 4g wire. then plug the grommet back in and pull your wire through the other side, be carefull to not get in the way of the brake and gas pedal.

Soccer,buy a Uni Bit to drill your hole (if you can't find and existing one).Its a stepped bit and is way easy to control hole size and leaves a clean edge.If you bought a 4 gauge kit it should comr with a plastic sleeve to protect the wire.I use black silicone to seal it up once you finish your run.I just did a 4 gauge install on my daughters 1990 Taurus and ran the wire up high fairly cose to the steering column.Hope this helps!

Another suggestion: if this is a standard transmission, disregard this post

There is usually a blank punch out panel to the left of where the brake linkage passes through the firewall where the clutch linkage passes. There is never anything on either side of this panel in automatics. You can drill a hole without worry of hitting anything. Just be sure to use a grommet to protect the wire and some strip caulk or something similar to seal out moisture
