97 Cavalier horn question

I'm installing a Crimestopper rs-900vii in a 97 cavalier.  Will I need a relay for the horn?  or can I just connect the wire?  The book only sais to use a relay if +12v is needed.  But it also sais for a LOW CURRENT horn trigger.

U can usually hook up the Negative Out for horn to the Horn wire at the steering column.  Some use Relays regardless of Negative or Positive.  Your RS probably puts out 500ma or less for a Negative Output.  I would suspect it will work O.K.

OK thanks!  Has anybody hooked up a horn on a Cavalier without one?  I have done a few dodge rams, and a ford ranger without one.  But I put one on my Civic lol.  I didn't want to fry the brain of the Compustar, little too expensive of a mistake.  I'm probably going to be installing this sometime next week, so I still have time to decide lol..

Will it usually say on the printouts if you need a relay?  I noticed it says to use one on a 89 accord.  I used to have one.  But it doesn't say about the Cavalier.
