THANKS TO EVERYBODY

I was able to build my own subwoofer box.  I came on this site after hearing about it from others, and I must say you guys helped me more than i thought you would.

I initially thought that asking you guys for sizes and specs. I would just get some rough ideas or no answers at all.

What I got was an education in:

how to figure the volume of my cabinet

to how to tune a port to 30 hz

as well as to using some math skills I have never used before

you guys didn't just give me the answers but helped me figure them out myself. Thanks to U guys,I made it(pics) -- posted image.

to all the noobs who are expecting easy or quick answers to their box sizes and port sizes, it's probably not gonna happen.

if you are lucky enough, what you will get is a good education.

I did.

I know my box is nothing special but its my first, and i am happy with it so far.

16" high x 34 1/2" wide x 17 1/4" deep

port opening- 1 1/2wide x 8 3/8high x 13 5/16deep

made for 2 12" jbl subs

each compartment is braced with a 3 1/2 " wide(cross-shaped) piece of mdf

liquid nails and 2" screws(pre-drilled)

1" mdf construction

HEAVY AS F#%K-------- 101 LBS  UNLOADED

Well done! Hope it sounds good for you!
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Nice job.  One question (you knew ther'd be one, right?)  How much space did you leave between the entrance to your ports and the back wall of the enclosure?
