Yes exactly!! That's what I saw on earlier post and why I wanted to know quantities.. I guess flexing is a concern and something that needs to be addressed..I also guess the attached example have very few really flat long lengths. More ideas?

You're right he was trying to pack it in as tight as possible.  My advice to you would be to do like everyone else is saying, is to use mdf.  The guys on here are mostly all installers and know alot about what they're talking about. The reason they're telling you to use mdf is that you cant make a glass box like that be strong unless you just reinforce with like 15-20 layers and then your going to have a box that weighs like 80lbs. Which is not what you want.

You could try it this way. Make it out of 1/4 inch plywood and reinforrce the hell out of it with fiberglass. You will have troubles around the edges cause the glass won't wanna lay down over those sharp turns but it would be doable. I've never done it though, so I have no idea of what other problems may arise or what it will sound like, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.
