Id highly suggest buying online and considering a single Alpine Type R are..beit 10", 12" or 15". VERY GOOD subs that can be had online for around 150 bucks.

The type-e sub is pretty darn good for the price, i personally ran one 10" and one 12" and 3 12" all at separate times, they are pretty good in the SQ department, they suffer in the low end that say a type-r would put out, ,but the type-e has that real tight accurate punch.  I can't seem to blow one of those dang things, had the 10" plugged into the wall for 5 minutes before it got boreing.....

ok it's down to alpines, I've heard both the e's and the s's and the s's actually really impressed me for the money. I still dont know really how i feel, the S's are DVC and they still have the same power rating as the e's... kinda interesting.

I have 3 12" Alpine Type R's running from a Phoenix Gold 8.0.1 in parallel and they hit really hard. I had the Type E first , they were OK but  the Type R's are much better.
